Get to Know You: Meet CCMI Advisor Tina Vieregg

30 Sep 2022 by: Tina Vieregg  ,

The career of CCMI advisor Tina Vieregg CFP®, BFA™, has been a journey that has refined her skills, client relationships, and perspective on what gives people peace of mind around money. After completing her bachelor’s degree in finance from Kent State University in her home state of Ohio, she began her investment career. Before joining CCMI in 2021, she served as a registered financial advisor for Morgan Stanley and an investment analyst for a prominent registered investment advisor, where she also was a member of the Investment Committee. This was when she gained experience developing strategies for portfolios, due diligence, selection, and competitive analysis, skills she shares with CCMI today. In addition to building financial plans, she helps the firm improve processes and client deliverables while providing reporting insights, rebalancing portfolios, and more.

A Forward-Thinking Outlook

An eye for the future has been a strong suit of Tina’s throughout her career. This is reflected in the advice she gives to clients to start saving and investing early and often: “It’s never too early, and no amount is too small to start,” she notes.

Throughout her investment work with clients, Tina saw how financial planning was integral to a client’s success. As a result, she went on to work for a leading fintech firm, assisting financial advisors with best practices for building complex financial plans and obtaining a deep knowledge of the leading industry software. Shortly after, she received her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation so she could serve clients directly, providing investment and financial planning advice to help them achieve their personal goals and objectives. She has also since obtained her Behavioral Financial Advisor designation and a Masters of Science in business administration, focusing on financial and tax planning, from San Diego State University.

Navigating Finances On an Even Keel

As a member of the San Diego Yacht Club, it’s only natural that Tina finds parallels between her passion for boating and managing finances. Today, she specializes in helping pre-retirees and retirees sail into the next chapter of their lives with confidence. She wants to help CCMI clients build plans that can weather any of life’s “storms” and navigate every stage of their financial journey. Where does every journey begin? Know where you’re going. As a first step, she recommends everyone understand where they’re spending their money so they can set themselves up for a solid financial future.

Tina enjoys spending time with her husband and two adult daughters when she’s not assisting clients. They love to travel, golf, and stay physically active.
