As a principal and owner of CCMI, Brian Matter is committed to partnering with clients to help reach their goals and be a forward-thinking leader to our CCMI team. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, a Certified Private Wealth Advisor® designee, and a Certified Exit Planning Advisor® he specializes in helping business owners navigate their financial lives — including investment selection, risk management, estate planning strategies, succession plans, and retirement options. As a business owner who went through a successful business transition when purchasing CCMI in 2017, Brian is uniquely positioned to share insights with other business owners. As a husband and father, he understands our clients’ need to design plans that secure and protect their family’s future, as decisions made today often affect multiple generations of wealth. Brian also serves as our Chief Compliance Officer.
Brian joined CCMI in 2010 after previously working as a Senior Manager on the Advisory Services team at Ernst & Young LLP. He earned a B.S. in business management at Brigham Young University.
Brian is passionate about giving back and being involved in his community. He can regularly be found volunteering at sports fields, at his church, or in the community with his Rotary Club — and his community service and professional affiliation “resume” includes:

Brian and his wife Nikki have three kids — Emma, Kainoa, and Kekoa. They enjoy traveling, hiking, surfing, sports, and camping, especially through various national parks. He’s always looking for their next adventure.
