CCMI Advisor Matt Ryan, CFA, CFP® loves helping clients make smart financial decisions so they can comfortably pursue their passions with the peace of mind and confidence that their finances will be all right. A member of the CCMI team since 2015, Matt continues this commitment while honing an extensive knowledge of investment and financial planning strategies and guiding clients in establishing a financial foundation upon which to build.
Focusing on the Fundamentals
Matt has been pursuing financial and investment planning since first studying it and earning a bachelor of science in economics and finance with a concentration in financial planning from Olivet Nazarene University. Today, as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Certified Financial Analyst, Matt helps clients lay out their unique plans for the future. He advises clients on many goals, from intentional investing and stock option management through various stages of career growth to preparing to buy a home and saving for a child’s education costs. At the firm, he also serves as a member of the investment management committee, manages portfolios and the firm’s investment reporting software, and conducts investment research and analysis.
Leaving It Better Than He Found It
Matt is passionate about improving firm processes and researching and leveraging new technology to enhance the client experience and team’s efficiency. He has also helped CCMI give back by producing educational, accessible videos to help current and potential clients make more informed financial decisions surrounding various topics, from budget and debt management to estate planning. In addition, he is an active member of several professional organizations, such as the San Diego Young Leaders, Toastmasters, and the Financial Planning Association; volunteers with his local Rotary Club; and is highly involved with his church.
Having played basketball at Olivet Nazarene University, Matt still finds time to play in pickup games and has served as a volunteer coach at a local high school for the last several years. When he’s not working, he and his wife Jess and son Reid enjoy travel, beach volleyball, and the many outdoor activities San Diego offers. Helping others create solid foundations has translated into other areas of his life too, so much so that he recently officiated his brother’s wedding!
